Well, we're in a different sort of world now. Or, at least we realize it is a different world. And, I don't think I'm going to wear the dress again. Not just because I don't want to be perceived as some weirdo that is really into the military and war, but because it stands as a good memento of a really care-free night that seems a hundred years ago.

So, I updated Sew Wrong with probably the least domestic-goodness sort of post for an odd sort of dress, The Revolt Dress.

But it feels sew right.

Inspired by Megan's wonderful Not Martha and this entry, Sew Wrong is a new weblog of mine that documents my attempts to sew my own clothes.

It's not working!

Yesterday, after falling in love with some neo-classical style fabric on a $98 skirt from the overpriced Anthropologie, I decided that I'm going to start sewing again.

In college, I excelled at craft sewing -- stuffed animals, Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, home decoration. But when it came to clothing and anything more complicated than a skirt, I ended up looking like something out of Orwell's 1984.

It's all about the fit, I suppose. That's why I'm going to make one of these.

Any wagers on how this little project is going to turn out?
