I kid you not, these are four things I found myself doing today:
1. Polishing a penny with Kleen King.
2. Taking film that's been in my camera for three years to be developed (One hour processing, of course).
3. Watching the end of Chances Are
4. Staring out the window. A lot.
It's the calm before the storm and I'm making the most of being unproductive while I still have the chance.

Hmm, and here I thought you would immediately start working on mtpro.

"Chances Are" is one of the only (and best) true *romantic-comedy* movies released within the last two or three decades...hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Good luck Mena, Ben, Anil, Joi and the team. I think at this point everyone is kind of holding their breath for you. It will be quite a ride.

Hey Mena,
Chances Are is a great movie (you could have blogged about via mena.blogmovies.com) :-)
While you are making the "most of being unproductive" I thought I would drop a line and wish you success on your upcoming launch.
I hope nothing but the best for your new service and look forward to both BlogTV and TypePad contributing to the blogosphere.
Best regards,

Wishing you and the rest of your gang nothing but the best of luck! MT is a great program and it has totally changed the face of the blogging culture. TypePad will bring that power to even more people. Everything will be fine. We all love you, Mena :-)

You both have worked so hard that you deserve to do whatever you want and not have to explain yourself! Go ahead....polish ALL of your pennies. I'm sure TypePad will bring you lots of paper money - - which will be a big timesaver for you. :-)

Might I also mention that you guys look REALLY pasty on the sixapart main page.
This is by no means an insult, I'm pretty sure I glow in the dark by now but...

I'm pretty pumped too, hanging out on the East Coast, watching to see. So glad I got to be part of the beta-testing community. I'm holding my breath too.

I love love love Chances Are.

Taking film that's lived undisturbed in your camera for three years to a one hour photo lab is quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever heard.
Posted by: Dave | August 05, 2003 at 03:05 PM
You think your film will still be develop-able? Let us know if it comes out... because I have film over a year old that I have given up on. (P.S. I like your site... :))

My last three-year-old film experience gave me pictures of an old boyfriend helping me move and shots of my housemate's car after a woman hit it due to flip-flop technicalities. The other box camera I brought in at the same time was only 1.5 years old and contained pictures of myself and another former boyfriend being chased by a giant cement dinosaur somewhere outside of LA. Surreal.

ooooh... sounds like fun. i found myself staring at my AIM today waiting for someone to log on... did that for almost 2 1/2 hours. say it with me now, "pa-the-tic" LOL. At least you had other things to do.

Film that's three years old? Perhaps it's time that you bought a digital camera.
Posted by: Lorna | August 11, 2003 at 01:20 PM
Three years isn't that bad, my mom found a roll of undeveloped film a couple years ago from my 5th birthday party...I'm 19 now.
It's obvious that developing photos is not a top priority in neither your nor my households. ;)

"Chances Are" is one of those movies that I will stop and watch, no matter what I'm in the middle of.
