Disappointed that none of those entries were faithful to the original Tenniel -- Alice originally had brown hair. The blonde was just a Disney invention.

I guess you are right in that the original Alice had brown hair. I found an interesting page on the different depictions of Alice throughout the years, and there seem to have been several versions before the Disney movie which were also blonde however. :)

Odder still, (but maybe its just me) Does anyone else think that picture of Alice Liddel from that page (http://the-office.com/bedtime-story/alice-background.htm) bears a striking resemblance to Mena's childhood pictures? (ooh, do I sound creepy or what?!).
