Looking inward to the person called Mena, I realize that there is no way I can honestly pinpoint an exact change that needs to be made in the name of a New Year's resolution.
I know there are things that need improvement.
There are promises I can make to myself:
Floss better, run on my treadmill, count to ten before speaking hastily, go outside more, eat less Fruitios -- the list goes on.
But really, when I know these resolutions will be but distant memories by January the second, what is the point of trying to fool myself? Crossing my own fingers behind my back reeks of disharmony between me, myself and I.
So, then, what is my New Year's resolution?
Well, I plan on focussing less on my own problems and more on the contributions of others.
Of course, this change does not apply in the real world. Instead, I started and honest to goodness weblog -- one where I'll simply link to sites that I find interesting.
I present A Day Late.
A Day Late just happens to be powered by the new Movable Type calendar feature which will be available in the next release.

"A Day Late" is quite nice. Great idea. Looking forward to the calendar!

Great idea!
Reminds me of a feature we've had up on our museum web site since we've been closed for renovation: A 1001 Days and Nights of American Art: http://americanart.si.edu/1001

Jeff: Thanks for that link. I think if this wasn't an automated process, that would be closer to my goal :) But, like any new year resolution, I need to make it easy enough so I actually will do it for 12 months.

My goodness! A calendar feature like Manila but possibly with actual usability, flexibility and configuration options? I'm going to hit myself repeatedly in the groin until I move over to MT at Mabuse.

Ed: We aim to please :)

Am so glad I signed on with MT. Can't wait for the calendar feature. Keep up the good work Mena [and Ben].

Mena, our calendar feature is far from automated. Au contraire. Keep up the good work you two!

I'm afraid to upgrade. I'm still using ver 1.2. It took me long enough to get everything right the first time. Maybe I'll wait for..oh...a year or so.

I like it! It's the coolest blog since...well...since dollarshort! Sheesh. Someone must not have a job or something.

And billy, sheesh, once you have it installed, upgrades are the easiest thing in the world. Unzip the upgrade...it has some files and folders in it. Upload those to your server, replacing the old ones and voila! It couldn't be easier. And 1.31 works just lovely!
